Aeris IoT Watchtower Expands Partnership with Bridge Alliance in Asia-Pacific

Aeris Communications and Bridge Alliance have announced an exciting expansion of their partnership, bringing Aeris's advanced IoT security solution, the Aeris IoT Watchtower, to the Asia-Pacific region. This move aims to address the growing cybersecurity challenges faced by enterprises deploying cellular IoT devices in the region.

The Aeris IoT Watchtower offers full visibility and control over IoT devices, with two key components—“Awareness” and “Enforcement”—that detect security breaches and help prevent or mitigate attacks in real time. It delivers regular risk assessments, device insights, and comprehensive reports on device activity, enabling enterprises to spot illegal or suspicious traffic and thereby enhance operational efficiency and regulatory compliance.

This expansion is particularly significant for Asia-Pacific, where the current 170 million connected cellular IoT devices are projected to nearly double by 2030, increasing the potential attack surface for cyber threats. Bridge Alliance CEO Dr. Ong Geok Chwee has termed the launch in APAC a milestone enhancing security and regulatory compliance of IoT deployments on the IoT Accelerator (IoTA) platform.

The solution’s agentless integration requires no extra hardware or system changes, facilitating scalable adoption across diverse networks. Mark Cratsenburg, the chief commercial officer for the IoT Business Unit at Aeris, emphasised the ease of use of Aeris IoT Watchtower.

This partnership empowers enterprises with enhanced threat detection, incident prevention, and regulatory compliance capabilities, helping secure their cellular IoT ecosystems amid rapid regional growth. The commercial launch of Aeris IoT Watchtower in Asia-Pacific is a milestone for enhancing security for the IoTA platform.

The Aeris IoT Watchtower launch event will take place at the Bridge Alliance CXO Forum 2025 on 17 November, with Aeris participating as a Diamond Sponsor. The agreement is an extension of an existing partnership through which Aeris provides cellular IoT connectivity management services to participating Bridge Alliance Member Operators (BMOs) via the Aeris IoT Accelerator (IoTA) platform. The Aeris IoT Watchtower launch is expected to extend into more APAC markets in the coming months.

In summary, the impact of this expansion lies in providing enterprises in Asia-Pacific with a proactive, integrated cellular IoT security framework that addresses the growing cybersecurity risks inherent to IoT devices. By offering full visibility and control over their IoT devices, enterprises can neutralise threats before they impact operations, ensuring a secure and efficient cellular IoT ecosystem.

This expansion of the Aeris and Bridge Alliance partnership brings the Aeris IoT Watchtower, a solution that combines finance, technology, and data-and-cloud-computing, to the Asia-Pacific business landscape. Equipped with features like "Awareness" and "Enforcement," this IoT security solution offers real-time threat detection, helping enterprises maintain regulatory compliance and enhance operational efficiency in the face of growing cybersecurity challenges.
