A Decade of Jungle Cakes Compilation: Top 10 Tracks Remastered
Jungle Cakes, the renowned record label known for delivering jungle and drum and bass bangers, is celebrating its 10th anniversary with a four-week Friday residency at London's premier bass music venue, XOYO.
The residency, starting on July 5, promises an outrageous lineup that encapsulates the raw energy and underground chaos synonymous with Jungle Cakes. Label helmsmen Ed Solo and Deekline have chosen their favourite tracks from the past ten years to mark this milestone.
One of the highlights of the residency is the singalong anthem "King of the Bongo" by Ed Solo & Deekline. This track, along with other chosen tracks like "General Levy - The General (Ed Solo remix)" and "Deekline, Manudigital, Queen Omega - Don't Call Me Local", will undoubtedly get the crowd moving.
The Trojan remix project, a collaboration between Jungle Cakes and various artists, will also be featured. Tracks such as "Ed Solo & Deekline - Top Ranking - Upgrade & T>I Remix" and "KLEU - Rudy, A Message To You" will bring back memories of previously sizzling tracks given a new life.
Another noteworthy collaboration is "Space" by Ed Solo & Deekline and AIRGLO, produced after a friendship formed with an unknown US artist whose promo broke Solo's loudness meter. The track "Three Little Birds" by Deekline and Jah Cuzzi, a drum and bass version of the classic Bob Marley song, also maintains the original vibe but is presented in drum and bass format and has been approved by the Bob Marley Foundation.
In addition to these, the residency will feature a fusion of Doktor's soundclash lyricism and Benny's heavy horn sound in "Benny Page & Doktor - Warn Dem", and the "firestarter" Kaya Fyah in "She Was Afraid", a collaboration with Kaya Fyah, Martial Taktics, MC Det, and Ed Solo.
For the most accurate and current details on this specific event, we recommend checking Jungle Cakes' official social media channels or the XOYO venue's event listings directly as of August 2025.
Throughout the four-week residency, technology will be integrated into the entertainment, showcasing remixed tracks from the Trojan project and newest collaborations like "Space" by Ed Solo & Deekline and AIRGLO. The fusion of lifestyles can be experienced as attendees enjoy a blend of music genres, from the classic "Three Little Birds" drum and bass version to the high-energy tracks of jungle and drum and bass, such as "King of the Bongo" and "Warn Dem".
