Additional Trains Ease Sochi Congestion
Additional trains have started operating in Greater Sochi to tackle traffic congestion. Acting Vice-Governor Yevgeny Pergun hailed the launch as a result of successful collaboration.
The new service, a joint venture between Russian Railways (RZD) and Adlersky Transport Company, introduces 26 'Lastochka' electric trains daily on the 'Sochi - Imeretinsky Resort' route. These trains, which travel through Matsesta, Host, Adler, the Scientific Park, and the Imeretinsky Resort, aim to redistribute passenger flow on the historically overloaded section.
The launch of these additional trains is expected to significantly ease traffic congestion in Greater Sochi. The collaborative effort between the regional government and transport operators is set to improve passenger flow and travel experience.
