The deal, which was finalised in June 2025, marks a strategic step forward for Rubrik in the realm of AI-driven data protection and recovery.

Bipul Sinha, CEO, chairman, and co-founder of Rubrik, praised Predibase's achievements in model training and serving infrastructure, stating that they are remarkable. This acquisition has led to the launch of Agent Rewind, a capability that integrates Predibase's advanced AI infrastructure with Rubrik's data recovery solutions.

Agent Rewind is a game-changer, enabling organisations to undo mistakes made by autonomous AI agents. It provides detailed visibility into agents' actions, auditing, and the ability to safely rewind changes to applications, data, and configurations. This innovative tool is designed to address the rising issue of "non-human error" in agentic AI systems, which can inadvertently cause business disruptions such as deleting production data or altering IT settings incorrectly.

The integration of Agent Rewind with major cloud services and platforms, including Agentforce, Microsoft Copilot Studio, and Amazon Bedrock Agents, as well as custom-built AI agents, facilitates its adoption in diverse cloud environments and enterprise AI infrastructures.

The acquisition and launch of Agent Rewind aim to increase enterprise confidence in deploying generative AI agents. With this safety net, enterprises can now embrace AI agents for automation and complex task execution, knowing that mistakes can be reversed without significant operational downtime.
