AI Security Firm TENEX Secures $27 Million in Series A Funding, Pioneering the Age of AI-Driven Security Operations

TENEX.AI, a leading cybersecurity company, has announced a successful $27 million Series A funding round. The funding round was led by Crosspoint Capital Partners, with participation from existing investors Andreessen Horowitz (a16z) and Shield Capital, as well as some unidentified strategic investors.

The funding will fuel an aggressive expansion for TENEX.AI, with the company planning to accelerate engineering hires, scale sales and marketing efforts, and enhance support for its growing enterprise customer base.

Elias "Lou" Manousos, former Microsoft CVP and Chairman of TENEX.AI, highlighted the company's rapid execution and global scale. "We are excited to have Crosspoint Capital Partners join us in our mission to solve traditional security operation inefficiencies," Manousos said.

Zane Lackey from Andreessen Horowitz expressed confidence in TENEX.AI's ability to deliver on this mission. "TENEX.AI's MDR service delivers faster detection, high-fidelity triage, and autonomous responses with human guardrails, making it a powerful tool in the fight against cyber threats," Lackey said.

The MDR service from TENEX.AI integrates seamlessly with Google Cloud and Microsoft-based security ecosystems, making it a versatile solution for businesses of all sizes. TENEX.AI has already secured multiple Fortune 500 and Global 2000 customers.

The TENEX.AI team includes industry veterans who have shaped foundational technologies in security operations. Notable additions include Greg Clark, Managing Partner at Crosspoint Capital, who previously scaled Blue Coat to its $4.65 billion acquisition by Symantec in 2016.

Other key team members include Paul Edmonds, who has been appointed as Chief Customer Officer at TENEX.AI; Jan Grzymala-Busse, CISO of TENEX.AI, who has experience at BMO, Cboe, and in the federal government; Ryan Shreve, COO of TENEX.AI, who has worked for Garmin, Firemon, and Cyderes; Edwin Solis, CRO of TENEX.AI, who is a former Google Cloud VP; and Venkata Koppaka, CTO of TENEX.AI, who is a founding engineer of Google's core SecOps stack.

The round also includes participation from additional strategic investors, to be announced at a later date. TENEX.AI's founding engineering team has extensive expertise building Google Chronicle, and the company has already exceeded $10 million in revenue in just six months in the market.

Eric Foster, CEO of TENEX.AI, is a co-founder of Cyderes. Foster expressed his excitement about the funding and the opportunities it presents for TENEX.AI. "This funding will allow us to continue our mission of providing the best possible cybersecurity solutions to our customers," Foster said.

Crosspoint Capital Partners brought decades of cybersecurity leadership to this investment, and they are confident in TENEX.AI's ability to make a significant impact in the industry. "We are thrilled to be a part of TENEX.AI's journey and look forward to seeing the positive impact they will have on the cybersecurity landscape," said a representative from Crosspoint Capital Partners.
