AI Security Venture TENEX Secures $27M in Series A Funding, Paving the Way for AI-Driven Security Operations Dominance

TENEX.AI, a trailblazing AI-native Managed Detection and Response (MDR) company, has announced a successful $27 million Series A funding round. The round was led by Crosspoint Capital Partners, with participation from strategic investors who have not been identified, as well as existing investors Andreessen Horowitz (a16z) and Shield Capital.

The funding will be used to fuel aggressive expansion, including accelerating engineering hires, scaling sales and marketing efforts, and enhancing support for TENEX.AI's growing enterprise customer base.

Paul Edmonds has been appointed as TENEX.AI's Chief Customer Officer, bringing decades of industry experience to the role. Edwin Solis, previously a Google Cloud VP, takes on the position of Chief Revenue Officer (CRO). Ryan Shreve, with a background at Garmin, Firemon, and Cyderes, steps into the role of Chief Operating Officer (COO).

TENEX.AI's founding engineering team boasts extensive expertise in building Google Chronicle, and the company's MDR service integrates seamlessly with Google Cloud and Microsoft-based security ecosystems. Venkata Koppaka, CTO of TENEX.AI, is a founding engineer of Google's core SecOps stack.

The company's MDR service combines advanced agentic AI, automation, and elite human expertise. Jan Grzymala-Busse, CISO of TENEX.AI, brings a wealth of experience from BMO, Cboe, and the federal government. Elias "Lou" Manousos, former Microsoft CVP and Chairman of TENEX, highlighted the company's rapid execution and growth.

Crosspoint Capital Partners, with its decades of cybersecurity leadership, is investing in TENEX.AI. The company is positioning itself as a leader in the AI-native MDR category and a pioneer in AI-driven security operations.

TENEX.AI has already secured multiple Fortune 500 and Global 2000 customers. Additional strategic investors will be announced at a later date. The company's investors, including Andreessen Horowitz (a16z), express confidence in TENEX.AI's ability to solve traditional security operations inefficiencies.

Eric Foster, CEO of TENEX.AI, is a co-founder of Cyderes. The company's rapid growth and successful funding round are a testament to its innovative approach to AI-driven security operations.
