AMD to Showcase New Technologies at CES 2026

Las Vegas is gearing up for another exciting technology event, as AMD prepares to deliver its opening keynote at CES 2026 on January 5th, 6:30 PM local time. Dr. Lisa Su, CEO of AMD, will take the stage to highlight how AMD's technology empowers customers and partners to address significant challenges.

The keynote will cover a variety of topics, including processors, GPUs, AI, and AMD's Instinct platform. While Zen 6 and its corresponding notebook and desktop variants might be too early for CES 2026, AMD may have a teaser for the new Zen-6 Epyc processors Venice and the Instinct family.

A refresh in the notebook segment is likely at CES 2026, with AMD providing some advance information about the new RDNA-4 graphics cards. However, no significant focus on the new RDNA-4 graphics cards is expected at the event.

Last year, AMD already provided updates on GPUs, CPUs, NPUs, AI, FSR, and rebranding at IFA 2025. The success of the Strix Halo in the mini-PC segment was also discussed, and AMD revealed over 30 mini-PCs at the event.

At CES 2025, AMD unveiled the handheld chip Ryzen Z2 (Extreme) and the Lenovo Legion Go 2 and ROG Xbox Ally (X) devices. AMD Krackan Point and AMD Strix Halo were also launched at the same event.

Jack Huynh, SVP and General Manager of the Computing and Graphics Group, spoke about various topics at IFA 2025. Notably, Jan-Frederik and Fabian discussed FSR 4 on RDNA 3 and the "Mouse Revolution" on the CB-Funk Podcast #136.

While no product launch is expected for the Zen-6 Epyc processors or the Instinct family, AMD will present new technologies focused on AI, high-performance computing, and gaming at CES 2026. This includes potential new Zen-based Ryzen CPUs with expanded cache, RDNA 4 generation graphics cards possibly offering up to 32 GB VRAM, and insights into their AI solutions and product roadmap.

Stay tuned for more updates as we approach CES 2026!
