Apple Music unveils updated Replay feature, reveals most-played tracks and popular charts for the year 2022
Apple Music has rolled out a redesigned Replay experience, providing users with an insightful look into the top charts of 2022. This interactive platform allows music enthusiasts to explore their personal listening habits, as well as the global trends that dominated the year in music.
The redesigned Replay website, accessible at replay.music.apple, is available to all Apple Music subscribers. To access the platform, users must log in with the same Apple ID they use for their Apple Music account. The website is localised in 39 languages, catering to the diverse user base in the 169 countries and regions where Apple Music is available.
To be eligible for Apple Music Replay, users must reach a hearing threshold. This is achieved when a song or artist has been listened to enough times within the year to be counted in their personalised Replay playlist and statistics.
Apple Music's Year-End Charts offer a comprehensive overview of the most popular tracks, Shazams, fitness songs, most-read lyrics, and more. According to the charts, "STAY" by The Kid LAROI and Justin Bieber is the No. 1 song of 2022, while "Cold Heart (PNAU Remix)" by Elton John and Dua Lipa leads the Shazam chart.
In the Fitness Songs chart, "Head & Heart (feat. MNEK)" by British DJ Joel Corry takes the top spot. Hip-Hop leads the Top Songs chart, followed by Pop, R&B/Soul, Latin, and J-Pop. An unexpected winner in the Most Read Lyrics chart is "We Don't Talk About Bruno" from Encanto.
Bad Bunny has been crowned Apple Music's 2022 Artist of the Year, with his album Un Verano Sin Ti being the biggest album of the year.
Users can continue checking their Replay until December 31 to see if their listening patterns evolve before the start of 2023. Once the new year begins, users can keep listening on Apple Music to explore and share new 2023 insights each week. Additionally, superfans can discover whether they are in the top 100 listeners of their favourite artist or genre.
For press enquiries, users can contact Apple Music's media team at media.help@apple. The truncated version of the Replay website is available all year or as soon as a user is eligible.
