Artwork Displayed Spectacularly at Kunsthalle Munich by Computer
Miguel Chevalier's digital art exhibition, titled "Digital by Nature," is currently on display at the Kunsthalle München (Munich Art Hall) and runs until March 1, 2026. The French digital artist has given the Euphorbia flower unique names for this exhibition – "Alchimica Veritas of Rousseau" and "Fractal Flowers."
The exhibition includes a variety of interactive installations, one of which is the first installation presented in 2012, titled "The Origin of the World." This installation features a red Janus head created with a 3D printer, symbolising a simultaneous gaze into the past and future.
Miguel Chevalier's works, showcased at the Kunsthalle Munich, aim to transpose classical oil painting into new, digital dimensions. His use of a 3D printer is evident in the intricate structures inspired by the diversity and beauty of the natural world that can be found throughout the exhibition.
The Euphorbia flower, a symbol of good luck in Thailand, is central to Chevalier's series on display. One of his most notable pieces, "The Origin of the World," invites visitors to actively participate in the unfolding of the installations.
A special opening for school classes at the exhibition is offered every Wednesday from 9 to 10 am. Prior registration is required at [email protected]. The museum is open daily from 10 am to 8 pm.
Visitors are encouraged to explore the installations at the Kunsthalle Munich, which combine elements of the artistic and artificial worlds. A catalog for the exhibition has been published by Hirmer Verlag Munich, priced at 25 euros in the museum and around 40 euros in bookstores.
Don't miss this opportunity to immerse yourself in the digital art world of Miguel Chevalier at the Kunsthalle München.
