New Hainbuch Product: The Torok - A Revolutionary Solution for Turning and Milling Machines

Hainbuch, a leading manufacturer in clamping technology, has introduced a news product that promises to revolutionise the world of turning and milling machines - the Torok. This versatile all-rounder is also compatible with 5-axis machining centers.

The Torok is equipped with IQ tooling, a feature that continuously measures workpiece diameter, workpiece alignment, and clamping force. This innovative technology allows for the detection of increasing process forces, indicating tool wear, and ensuring a secure and consistent process.

One of the Torok's standout features is its ability to support sensitive manual clamping and provide reliable workpiece stabilisation with axial pull against the stop. This makes it an ideal choice for various applications, from traditional turning and milling to the most complex 5-axis machining.

The new collet chuck variant of the Torok is more cost-effective and easier to handle due to its lighter weight. Yet, it maintains the same stability and repeat accuracy as the classic version, ensuring precision in every operation.

Customers now have a choice between the one-piece version and the new variant with interchangeable jaws, providing them with higher flexibility. The Torok's rotational symmetry, reduced interference contour, and exchangeable flange contribute to its flexibility, making it a versatile solution for a wide range of workpiece diameters.

The Torok can be quickly adapted to internal or jaw clamping with the adaptations of the Hainbuch system. This feature, combined with the solution's ability to automatically change clamping elements for different workpiece diameters, makes the Torok an invaluable asset in automated production processes.

In addition, the Torok's measurement data is transmitted contactlessly to the machine control and evaluated, ensuring real-time quality assurance. Deviations lead to a message being sent or immediate correction being initiated, reducing scrap and ensuring consistent quality.

Hainbuch has been at the forefront of automation in clamping technology for several years. Four years ago, they introduced an automated solution for changing clamping heads. Now, they have taken it a step further with the automated jaw change in jaw chucks.

The Torok has already proven its worth in numerous customer projects, demonstrating its reliability and efficiency. Hainbuch will be present at EMO Hannover 2025, located in Hall 3, Booth I14, where you can see the Torok in action.
