Avenged Sevenfold's Synyster Gates Unveils SG-22, a 175-Watt Tube Amp

Avenged Sevenfold's Synyster Gates has unveiled his latest creation, the SG-22, a 175-watt tube amp head and cab combo under his Synner brand. Priced at $1,199, this universal pedal platform amplifier comes with 20,000 Deathbat Reward points and is the first amp authenticated on the blockchain.

The SG-22 is designed to maximize the potential of pedalboards and rack-mount effects systems. It boasts two built-in power supplies and latches onto the cab for added security. The amp features a clean, transparent, high-headroom preamp, a post-preamp effects loop with Line Level and Instrument Level modes, and controls including Volume, EQ, Presence, and Master. The cab houses a Celestion V-Type 12 speaker.

Gates, who previously collaborated with Schecter for his signature Hellwin amp in 2013, has now switched to the Axe FX. He is currently working on a signature distortion pedal, the Original Syn, which will also feature on Avenged Sevenfold's upcoming album.

The SG-22 is a clean amp tailored for pedalboards and rack-mount effects, offering a high-quality sound and robust build. At $1,199, it's a significant investment, but the included Deathbat Reward points and blockchain authentication make it an attractive proposition for serious guitarists. Fans of Avenged Sevenfold and Synyster Gates will no doubt be eager to get their hands on this new piece of gear.
