Acorns Seeks Experienced Senior Software Engineer for Growth Team

In this role, you will be responsible for making operational improvements, building new services, and leading other teams to maintain healthy operations. The Growth team promotes an operational centric, customer-first culture.
As an engineer on the Growth team, you will be designing, building, and maintaining scalable, customer-facing services for user onboarding and financial education. You will collaborate with engineering and product teams to deliver high-quality features using the modern tech stack, which includes GraphQL, TypeScript, Ruby on Rails, DynamoDB, Lambda, ECS, and various other AWS services.
The role also requires contributing to process improvements around code reviews, deployments, and testing, while supporting the CI/CD pipeline and at-will deployment practices. You will learn the architecture, services, and technical decisions that power Acorns' onboarding and customer identification systems.

If you are an experienced software engineer with 6-10+ years of relevant experience, expertise with SQL and/or NoSQL databases, experience leading API design and implementation (REST/GraphQL), a strong understanding of object-oriented and functional programming paradigms, a strong understanding of algorithms, time complexity, data structures, and design patterns, a strong track record of good software engineering practices, and a thirst for delivering game-changing products, we encourage you to apply.
