BDACS & HashKey Group Launch Joint Venture to Transform Vietnam's Digital Asset Landscape
A new joint venture between BDACS and HashKey Group is set to revolutionize Vietnam's digital asset landscape. The venture, backed by IDGX, aims to provide digital asset exchange and custody services, focusing on regulatory compliance and infrastructure for Digital Asset Treasury (DAT) company integration. Launching within the year, it will initially operate under Vietnam's regulatory sandbox program.
The joint venture will commence under the new regulatory framework for digital assets, which the Vietnamese government has introduced. The Law on Digital Technology Industry, set to take effect in 2026, includes a formal definition of tokenized digital assets and tasks state agencies with managing them to ensure cybersecurity and prevent financial crimes.
HashKey Group, contributing its expertise in blockchain regulation and compliance with South Korean law, will provide digital asset management services in Vietnam. Meanwhile, BDACS, a South Korean digital asset custodian, will bring its expertise in regulatory compliance and blockchain technology to create a stable digital asset infrastructure. IDGX, a Vietnamese digital asset investment firm, will provide local operational experience, regulatory networks, and capital resources to support the market entry of the joint venture.
Under the trial program, crypto assets must be backed by real underlying assets, excluding securities and fiat money, and can only be issued by registered Vietnamese companies. The joint venture is set to launch within the year, initially operating under Vietnam's regulatory sandbox program.
The joint venture between BDACS, HashKey Group, and IDGX marks a significant step towards Vietnam's digital asset market growth. With a focus on regulatory compliance and stable infrastructure, the venture aims to provide secure and reliable digital asset exchange and custody services, paving the way for further integration of digital assets into the Vietnamese economy.
