Bentley reveals daring new wing designs for a new beginning

Bentley Motors is set to reveal a new chapter in its history with the unveiling of its fifth redesigned 'Winged B' emblem and a concept car on July 8 at its Crewe headquarters. This significant design shift, the most substantial in over a century, aligns with Bentley's journey towards a more progressive, sustainable future.

The new emblem, a symbol of power and excitement, draws inspiration from the dynamic angles of a Peregrine Falcon's wings. The sharp wing angles, reminiscent of the bird of prey, lend a sense of agility and speed to the iconic emblem. The lower feathers have been stripped away, leaving a cleaner, more streamlined design that reflects Bentley's pursuit of performance, with roots dating back to its founding in 1919.

The central 'B' jewel in the new emblem gains depth and detail, evoking the intricate craftsmanship of fine watchmaking. With bevelled glass edges and chamfered metal surrounds, the jewel exudes an air of luxury and precision. Each major update to the 'Winged B' emblem since 1919 has reinterpreted the founding spirit of the brand, and this latest design is no exception.

The redesign was led by Bentley's Director of Design, Robin Page, with the help of an in-house team. The winning concept for the redesigned emblem came from Young Nam of the Interior Design team. The new emblem will debut on the concept car, which offers a hint of the direction for future models.

Bentley has not disclosed powertrain specifications or production intent for the new concept car at this stage. However, the unveiling of the concept car, the opening of a cutting-edge Design Studio at the Crewe headquarters next week, and the unveiling of the new 'Winged B' emblem all coincide, signaling a new era for Bentley Motors.

The new emblem and the concept car coincide with Bentley's journey towards a more sustainable future. The company is committed to reducing its carbon footprint and has set ambitious targets for the electrification of its fleet. The new emblem, with its sleek, modern design, represents a forward-looking approach that mirrors Bentley's commitment to innovation and sustainability.

The new 'Winged B' emblem will be officially debuted at Crewe on July 7, marking a significant milestone in Bentley's history. The emblem symbolizes a powerful, exciting future for Bentley Motors and its exceptional, handcrafted products. Stay tuned for more updates as Bentley enters a new era.
