The German market is set to welcome the arrival of the base BMW iX3, a sustainable and tech-packed electric SUV that promises to redefine the electric vehicle landscape. Set to roll out in the spring, the iX3 is BMW's latest offering in its quest to lead the charge towards a greener future.

Produced in a state-of-the-art factory in Debrecen, Hungary, the base iX3 boasts a sleek Alpine White design, with no shortage of standard features. Comfort Access, the Extended Exterior Mirror Package, wireless smartphone charging, and an alarm system are just a few of the amenities that come as standard with the base model.

Stepping inside the iX3, you'll find the seats upholstered in Econeer, a textile made from recycled PET yarn. Heated and power-adjustable front seats are standard, ensuring a comfortable ride for both driver and passenger. The base model also includes two-zone automatic climate control and an electric tailgate for added convenience.

Safety is paramount, with the entry-level iX3 coming equipped with lane change warning, road priority warning, Safe Exit, and Assisted View. Digital Key Plus, which turns smartphones and smartwatches into car keys, is also included, offering a seamless and convenient ownership experience.

For those seeking a more luxurious feel, real leather is available as an Individual option, although this upgrade could set you back up to €3,090. The standard wheel size for the base iX3 is 20-inch (codenamed 1045).

The base iX3 is initially offered as the 50 xDrive, priced at €68,900 in Germany. BMW plans to begin deliveries to European customers in the spring, with deliveries to U.S. buyers scheduled for summer.

In an effort to cater to a wider audience, a lower-tier iX3, expected to start at around €60,000 in Germany, is currently in development. Additionally, the i3 sedan is expected to be introduced in 2026, with a price that should be lower than the equivalent iX3, offering even more affordable electric mobility options.

Wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay are included as standard features in the base iX3, ensuring seamless connectivity for all your devices. With the base BMW iX3, BMW is not just offering a vehicle; it's offering a commitment to sustainability, technology, and convenience.

The iX3's production process is as green as its design. The electric drives are manufactured in Steyr, Austria, while the batteries come from suppliers including the Chinese market leader CATL as well as other Asian manufacturers. This commitment to sustainability is a testament to BMW's dedication to creating a greener future.

In a world where electric vehicles are becoming increasingly common, the base BMW iX3 stands out as a compelling choice for those seeking a sustainable, tech-packed, and convenient driving experience. With its sleek design, abundant features, and commitment to sustainability, the iX3 is poised to make a significant impact in the electric vehicle market.
