Boris FX introduces Continuum 2021.5, featuring authentic 3D particle animations
In an exciting development, Boris FX has announced the release of its latest update, Continuum 21.5. This update brings a host of new features, including 3D Emitter Shapes, Forces, Deflectors, and Emission, deep integration with After Effects, and 9 GPU-accelerated, HDR-compliant cinematic effects.
One of the standout additions is the integration of Particle Illusion with After Effects, allowing emitters to trace native live text and mask layers. The update also introduces a new Node View in Particle Illusion, making parameter navigation easier, especially with complex emitter setups.
The update also includes a wealth of creative effects, with over 200 drag and drop presets for the new cinematic effects. These presets are available for download, along with assets for Continuum 2021.5 imagery.
In addition, the update offers more robust controls for Particle Illusion with fully 3D functionality. Emitters can now attach to host native lights and 3D layers in Particle Illusion. Avid infrastructure controls have been added to all BCC+ filters in the update.

Continuum 2021.5 is available as a subscription, perpetual license, and upgrade. Current annual subscription and upgrade & support plan customers receive a complimentary upgrade to Continuum 2021.5. The subscription starts at $195/year or $25/month, and the perpetual license is $695 (and up). Upgrade costs $195 (and up).
