Boy, 10, Injured in E-Scooter vs. Car Accident in Meinerzhagen
A 10-year-old boy riding an electric scooter was injured in a traffic accident in Meinerzhagen. The incident involved a 67-year-old resident's Ford Fiesta, resulting in minor injuries for the child and approximately 1,000 euros in damage to the car.
The boy was riding on the sidewalk when he collided with the Ford Fiesta. Despite the impact, he only sustained light injuries and was promptly taken to the Lüdenscheid Clinic by ambulance. The e-scooter he was riding was not insured at the time of the accident. The identity of the 67-year-old driver has not been publicly disclosed.
The incident serves as a reminder of the importance of safety measures when using electric scooters, especially on public sidewalks. Authorities are investigating the cause of the accident.
