Bruker Alicona, a leading provider of metrology solutions, has announced a significant merger. The company, which has its roots in Graz, Austria, will unify its legal entities under Bruker Austria GmbH, effective October 1, 2025. This move strengthens Bruker's commitment to Austria and the strategic importance of its Raaba/Graz site.

The merger, which sees Alicona Imaging GmbH absorbed into Bruker Austria GmbH, is a strategic move that reinforces Bruker's long-term commitment to Austria. Urban Muraus, General Manager at Bruker Alicona, views this as a strong signal to employees, customers, and partners worldwide. The Bruker Alicona brand will remain unchanged, continuing to provide metrology solutions made in Austria.

Bruker Alicona's solutions are widely used in industries such as aerospace, automotive, medical device manufacturing, and precision engineering. Its flagship product, Focus-Variation, combines surface roughness and form measurement in a single system, highlighting the critical role of metrology in modern production environments. This merger builds on Bruker Alicona's 2018 integration into the Bruker Group, further expanding its Industrial Metrology Division.

As of October 1, 2025, Bruker Austria GmbH will become the unified legal entity, with its headquarters remaining in Raaba/Graz, Austria. While the merger does not currently specify the individuals leading the unified entity, it underscores Bruker's commitment to its Austrian operations and the importance of metrology in modern production.
