CMA & Crunchfish Team Up for Next-Gen Payment Systems
CMA, a global leader in financial infrastructure solutions, has partnered with Crunchfish AB to deliver next-generation payment systems. The alliance combines CMA's proven track record with Crunchfish's innovative Digital Cash technology, aiming to expand secure and resilient payment ecosystems worldwide.
CMA brings a wealth of experience, having successfully delivered projects in 58 countries, serving 55 central banks and 1,500 commercial banks. Their Instant Payment System (IPS) solutions are currently operational in 12 countries and will expand through this partnership.
Maxim Neshcheret, CMA's Regional Director for Asia-Pacific and Central Asia, sees the collaboration as a fusion of innovation and robust infrastructure. The partnership aims to enable secure, modern, and resilient payment ecosystems both online and offline. It has already kickstarted with a joint project focusing on offline payments.
Crunchfish AB, a Swedish company, is known for its Digital Cash technology, currently deployed in Sweden and other Nordic countries via CMA Small Systems' Instant Payment System solutions. The partnership aims to further expand Crunchfish's technology to more Nordic countries and potentially new markets where CMA operates. Together, they aim to deliver solutions that work seamlessly both online and offline to public sector financial authorities and commercial payment networks.
