CNRS's DSI Ensures Secure IT Services Across Two Sites
The Information Systems Department (DSI) of the Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique (CNRS) operates from two sites: CNRS - DSI Meudon and CNRS - DSI Toulouse. Led by acting director Marie-Pierre Fontanel, the DSI offers a national helpdesk service and collaborates with regional offices' information systems departments.
The DSI's primary role is to establish and manage the CNRS's management and steering information systems. It ensures the rollout of secure digital services tailored for CNRS research laboratories, all hosted on French infrastructures. The DSI's services extend to providing secure IT tools for CNRS staff, although the head of the Paris office responsible for this remains unknown.
In addition to these services, the DSI plays a crucial role in implementing the CNRS's security policy for information systems. It coordinates regional and laboratory computer security officers to ensure the highest standards of cybersecurity across the CNRS network.
The DSI, under the leadership of acting director Marie-Pierre Fontanel, operates from two sites to provide comprehensive information systems services to the CNRS. It manages the CNRS's information systems, offers secure digital services to research laboratories, and ensures robust cybersecurity measures are in place across the network.
