Covington Launches Year-Round E-Waste Recycling with BlairTech

Covington is thrilled to announce a new partnership with BlairTech for e-waste recycling. Kicking off on April 5, a special event will be held at BlairTech's Latonia location, marking the start of a year-round recycling initiative with the city and Keep Covington Beautiful.

The event focuses solely on electronics, unlike the annual June event which handles various materials. Accepted items include computers, accessories, phones, tablets, printers, copiers, gaming systems, TVs, and alkaline batteries. BlairTech's zero-landfill policy ensures nothing ends up in a landfill.

Data-containing devices will be securely wiped to federal standards before recycling or refurbishment. BlairTech will refurbish, repurpose, and reuse many devices, with only non-reusable parts being recycled. The partnership provides convenient, local, and free access for proper electronic waste disposal throughout the year. Participants will receive a thank-you coupon for renewed PC's and accessories at Tech Castle. Recycling e-waste protects water sources, reduces toxic waste pollution, and recovers valuable materials.

Covington's partnership with BlairTech offers a convenient and sustainable solution for local e-waste disposal. The April 5 event marks the beginning of a year-round commitment to protecting the environment and promoting recycling.
