CUPRA Unveils Game-Changing Electric Compact Car: The Raval
CUPRA has unveiled its latest electric compact car, the CUPRA Raval, inspired by the vibrant Barcelona neighborhood of the same name. The vehicle, set to redefine its segment, was presented by interim CEO Markus Haupt, who described it as a 'game-changer'.
The CUPRA Raval is built on the MEB platform of the Volkswagen Group, offering an exciting design and engaging driving experience in a compact package. It is the first vehicle of the new Electric Compact Car Family, aiming to make electric mobility more accessible in Europe. The Raval will make its official world premiere and market introduction in 2026.
Markus Haupt led the presentation, showcasing a production-ready Raval in a vinyl wrap honoring El Raval in Barcelona. Earlier, a camouflaged version was presented to media representatives. The Raval is expected to bring sporty values and cutting-edge technology to the compact electric car segment.
The CUPRA Raval, produced in Spain, is set to transform the compact electric car segment. CUPRA aims to make Spain a hub of electric mobility by producing cars like the Raval and the Volkswagen ID.2 in the Martorell plant.
