Dassault Aviation Delivers 300th Rafale as Global Demand Soars

Dassault Aviation has reached a significant milestone with the delivery of the 300th Rafale, France's flagship multirole fighter. This achievement marks a key moment in the programme's history and underscores the jet's growing global appeal.

The 300th Rafale rolled off the production line at Dassault's Merignac plant in Bordeaux. This milestone comes as the company plans to ramp up production, aiming to deliver 25 Rafales in 2025 and gradually increase output to four aircraft per month in the coming years.

Taiwan has shown renewed interest in the Rafale, considering it as a potential replacement for its Mirage 2000 fleet. As of June 2025, there are still 233 Rafales to be delivered, including 53 destined for France. Meanwhile, India's Air Force is exploring a direct government-to-government deal for 114 Rafale jets.

Dassault recently inaugurated a new manufacturing and integration site in Cergy to support production of both Rafale and Falcon jets. The Rafale has expanded its global footprint, with a total of 533 aircraft ordered by France and eight export customers, including Egypt, Qatar, India, Greece, Croatia, Indonesia, the United Arab Emirates, and Serbia. Ongoing discussions involve potential future orders from countries such as Saudi Arabia and others in Asia and Europe.

The 300th Rafale delivery underscores the jet's success and growing international demand. With increased production plans and interest from key markets, the Rafale programme continues to strengthen France's position in the global aerospace industry.
