This partnership enables Illiana Financial's members to access InvestiFi's digital investing offerings, including trading and investing in over 8,500 stocks, exchange-traded funds (ETFs), and more than 25 cryptocurrencies [1][5].
Launched in 2021 as CryptoFi, InvestiFi began as an embedded crypto trading solution for credit unions and community banks. The company rebranded as InvestiFi in 2024, and in the same year, it acquired a Broker Dealer and launched a wholly owned Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) [6]. InvestiFi's digital investing technology can be integrated into existing digital banking platforms, making it seamless for members to manage investments alongside other finances in one unified platform [1].
The partnership between InvestiFi and Illiana Financial brings a comprehensive and user-friendly digital investing solution embedded within the credit union's ecosystem. Key benefits include convenience, access to a wide range of investment options, guided investment support, financial education, and an enhanced user experience [1].
Illiana Financial, organized in 1936 by a small group of Illinois Bell Telephone Company workers, currently has four locations: Calumet City, Chicago Heights, Naperville, and Bourbonnais. With total assets of more than $278 million, Illiana Financial serves over 25,000 members [2].
This partnership is a natural progression in serving the community, according to Illiana Financial CEO Jim Henmuller [3]. InvestiFi's CEO and Co-Founder Kian Sarreshteh cited research from Cornerstone Advisors indicating a strong demand for convenience and trust in a single, unified interface [4].
InvestiFi has also partnered with Ocala Community Credit Union (OCCU) to enable OCCU's members to trade and hold cryptocurrencies [5]. This move demonstrates InvestiFi's commitment to deepening engagement with accountholders by becoming a more integral part of members' financial lives.
