Dubai's Real Estate Sector Strategy 2033: Building a Sustainable and Transparent Global Hub

The 21st International Property Show (IPS 2025), currently ongoing at the Dubai World Trade Centre, serves as a reflection of Dubai's growing stature as a model for global urban development. The event aligns with the launch of the Dubai Real Estate Sector Strategy 2033, which focuses on transparency, innovation, and sustainability.

Marwan Ahmed bin Ghalita, Director-General of the Dubai Land Department (DLD), inaugurated IPS 2025. The event is drawing over 300 exhibitors from 85 countries, and is expected to attract more than 25,000 visitors.

The Dubai Real Estate Sector Strategy 2033 aims to strengthen Dubai’s position as a global capital for real estate. It focuses on several key areas designed to drive significant growth, sustainability, and Dubai’s position as a global real estate hub.

One of the main focuses is on creating sustainable communities built to the highest quality standards, emphasizing not just property acquisition but also offering a high-quality lifestyle. This approach aims to attract international and emerging market investors, solidifying Dubai’s role as a premier global and regional real estate destination.

Another key area is increasing transparency and enhancing a robust regulatory framework to encourage market stability and attract high-value, long-term investments, while keeping property speculation within sustainable limits. The DLD is showcasing strategic initiatives such as Real Estate i, She Pioneers, and the blockchain-based Real Estate Tokenisation Project at IPS 2025 to further this goal.

The strategy also aims to double the sector's contribution to Dubai's GDP and increase transaction volumes by about 70%, aiming for AED 73 billion contribution to the economy.

Fostering an integrated real estate ecosystem built around innovation, technology, and digital transformation to boost market competitiveness and improve the investor and consumer experience is another key focus. IPS 2025 serves as a platform for developers, investors, and industry leaders to explore new projects, smart technologies, and emerging market trends.

The "IPS Women 2025" conference, held in collaboration with the Women's Council of Realtors, underscores Dubai's commitment to inclusive growth and innovation in the property sector. The conference focuses on women's empowerment in the property sector and is a part of IPS 2025 events.

The event also includes the Institutional Investors Conference, where global experts shared insights on creating a resilient and future-ready real estate landscape. Marwan Ahmed bin Ghalita emphasized the event's role in building global investor confidence and reinforcing market balance.

The Dubai Real Estate Sector Strategy 2033 collectively aims at reinforcing Dubai’s real estate resilience, sustainability, and appeal to a broad spectrum of global investors while ensuring a balanced and transparent market environment. IPS 2025 is a testament to these efforts and a promising step towards achieving the goals set out in the strategy.
