Electric vehicle manufacturer Montra Electric marks the opening of its initial electric service cargo vehicle (SCV) dealership in Gurugram.
In a bid to address the growing demand for sustainable transport solutions, Montra Electric and SOL Automotive India have joined forces to introduce the Montra Electric EViator in India. This electric light commercial vehicle (LCV) is designed for cargo transport and is now available through Montra’s first electric SCV dealership in Gurugram.
The EViator boasts an impressive 80 kW electric motor generating 300 Nm of torque, a certified range of 245 km (real-world range ~170 km), telematics support, and a 7-year or 2.5 lakh km warranty. The vehicle is targeted at fleet customers aiming to reduce operating costs, making it an attractive option for businesses transitioning to electric mobility.
The launch event was attended by Saju Nair, CEO of Tivolt Electric Vehicles (Montra Electric’s SCV division), and Rajesh Gulia, Director of SOL Automotive India, along with company representatives and regional business partners. The new facility follows a 3S format, offering sales, service, and spare parts, as well as a charging station.
Montra Electric’s electric vehicle lineup includes offerings in heavy trucks, mid-size and small commercial vehicles, electric three-wheelers, and tractors. The EViator is the key model offered at the new Montra Electric dealership in Kherki Daula, located on NH-08.
The Gurugram outlet is one of several new facilities planned across India as Montra Electric scales its dealership and service network. The expansion is part of Montra Electric’s strategy to build its presence in key logistics and commercial regions across the country.
