EnFi Secures $7.5M in Seed Funding, Unveils AI-Powered Lending Platform
Boston-based startup EnFi has secured $7.5 million in seed funding, led by Unusual Ventures. The company, founded in 2024, made its debut at FinovateFall 2025 in New York, showcasing its innovative AI-powered spreadsheet intelligence platform, EnFi Grid.
EnFi was co-founded by Joshua Summers (CEO), Scott Weller (CTO), and Michelle Hipwood (CFO). In January 2025, the company hired Chris Aronis as its first chief revenue officer. Aronis brings extensive experience from leadership roles at Fiserv, Quovo, and Bottomline. EnFi Grid, the company's new lending solution, brings full spreadsheet functionality directly into the EnFi platform. It enables users to upload existing spreadsheets or start from scratch within the platform, offering features like formulas, charts, pivot tables, and AI-assisted scoring models.
EnFi's successful seed round and the introduction of EnFi Grid demonstrate the company's potential in the AI-powered financial technology sector. With its strong team and innovative platform, EnFi is well-positioned to make a significant impact in the industry.
