EUROBIKE GOLD-AWARD 2025 awarded to PUKY; showcases updated exhibition design and revolutionary helmet idea.

PUKY, a renowned name in children's bikes, has made a significant leap in the realm of cycling safety with the introduction of a new smart children's helmet. The announcement was made at Eurobike 2025, the world's leading trade fair for bicycles and cycling accessories.

The new helmet, yet to be officially named, boasts several features that reflect the latest trends in children's cycling gear. It incorporates modular padding sets for individual design adjustments, catering to different age stages. One of its standout features is the integration of LED lights, enhancing visibility, especially in low-light conditions.

The helmet also includes a safety ID for improved orientation, adding an extra layer of security for young riders. PUKY's new helmet design is characterised by effective colours, reduced design, and a brand character that appeals to young families.

PUKY's commitment to child-friendly ergonomics and safety is evident in the lightweight yet robust nylon frame of the helmet, ensuring safe handling. The helmet also features a custom fit system, similar to the BOA system used in some adult and youth models, providing a secure and comfortable fit.

While there is no confirmed collaboration between PUKY and UNIT 1 specifically for children's helmets, such a partnership could potentially bring about the integration of smart technology, advanced safety features, or innovative materials into children's helmets.

The new helmet is part of PUKY's long-term purpose-oriented transformation, initiated under CEO Marc K. Thiel last year. The company, which has been producing children's vehicles since 1949, is a synonym for children's bicycles, scooters, and tricycles in the DACH region.

PUKY's extensive product portfolio now includes the sub-brand EIGHTSHOT, specialising in mountain bikes for children and youth. The PUKY NEXT, a bike designed for children aged 2 to 5, was awarded at Eurobike 2025. The bike was developed in collaboration with bicycle accessory specialist UNIT 1.

The PUKY NEXT features the FlipChip technology, allowing wheel size adjustment from 12 to 14 inches. The helmet, available as a series model after being on display as a prototype in 2024, boasts a long service life due to its robust design.

PUKY's trade show appearance at Eurobike 2025 in Frankfurt has been redesigned, featuring a modern and lifestyle-oriented visual identity. The company won the EUROBIKE GOLD AWARD 2025, further solidifying its position as a leader in the children's cycling industry.

The new smart children's helmet, developed in collaboration with UNIT 1, offers several benefits for children's safety and visibility. It includes crash detection and alert systems, educational or gamified elements, and sustainable materials. These features aim to encourage safe cycling habits, make young riders more noticeable on the road, and reduce the environmental impact of cycling gear.

In conclusion, PUKY's new smart children's helmet, showcased at Eurobike 2025, represents a significant step forward in children's cycling safety. The helmet's features reflect the direction of innovation in the industry and PUKY's commitment to child-friendly ergonomics and safety. The potential collaboration with UNIT 1 could further enhance the helmet's safety and visibility features, making cycling a safer and more enjoyable experience for children.
