In a significant stride towards a more sustainable future, Geisler GmbH has commenced the installation of a Q1 Hypercharger at Eduard-Pestel-Straße 2, marking a notable expansion of Osnabrück's electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure.

The new Q1 Hypercharger, boasting a 150 kW output, will serve the WSO fleet, employees, and the public at two charging points. This addition aligns with Q1's mission to support employers, hoteliers, and operators of public parking lots in meeting the evolving needs of drivers.

WSO Managing Director, Axel Mauersberger, has shown his support for this initiative, expressing his enthusiasm for the expansion of Osnabrück's charging infrastructure. With more than 10 electric vehicles in the WSO fleet, the new Q1 Hypercharger makes the fleet more flexible, with a total of 4 charging points available for employees and the public.

Q1 Energie AG, the company responsible for the installation, manages the maintenance, administration, billing, and payment processes for the charging service at their stations. The company currently operates over 120 charging points at more than 40 locations across Germany.

In addition to the new installation, Q1 Energie AG has also retrofitted a credit card terminal for payment with debit or credit cards for WSO. The company is expanding its network size through participation in Autostrom plus GmbH, a venture aiming to construct 99 new fast-charging parks along German highways nationwide.

CEO Frederick Beckmann underscores Q1's vision of future mobility, moving beyond traditional fuel stations towards a multi-mobility concept with e-mobility at its core. However, specific expansion plans for Osnabrück in Q1 2025 could not be confirmed at the time of writing.
