Aston Martin's New Hypercar, the Valhalla, Unveiled

Get ready for an exhilarating ride as Aston Martin prepares to unleash its latest creation, the Valhalla, a groundbreaking hypercar scheduled for production and delivery starting in spring 2026. The production version of this mid-engined marvel was unveiled during the 2025 Monterey Car Week in August 2025.

Under the hood, the Valhalla boasts a powerful engine – a mid-mounted 4.0-litre flat-plane crank AMG V8, tuned to deliver an impressive 817 hp and 640 lb-ft of torque. This is further bolstered by three electric motors; one in the gearbox, and two on the front axle, adding an additional 247 hp and 171 lb-ft, bringing the total system power to an astounding 1,064 hp and the torque to a mighty 811 lb-ft.

The Valhalla's drivetrain is an all-wheel drive system via front and rear electric motors, along with the combustion engine. An 8-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission with direct drive ensures seamless gear shifts. The Valhalla's performance is nothing short of breathtaking – it accelerates from 0-60 mph in just 2.1 seconds, covers the quarter mile in 9.5 seconds, and reaches a top speed of 217 mph.

The Valhalla's dimensions are impressive as well, with a wheelbase of 108.7 inches, a length of 186.9 inches, a width of 79.3 inches, and a height of 45.7 inches. The car weighs approximately 3,900 lbs (curb weight). Fuel economy estimates are promising, with an expected combined 16 mpg gasoline and 40 MPGe when considering electric propulsion.

The Valhalla's exterior features a carbon fibre monocoque chassis, active aerodynamics (active rear wing and front wing that engages in Race mode), dihedral doors, and advanced cooling through aerodynamically functional door surfaces. Inside, the Valhalla offers a two-seat carbonfibre tub, a sleek dashboard, and a driver-focused cockpit.

Matt Prior, a renowned car reviewer, recently had the chance to test drive the Valhalla at Aston's development facility inside Silverstone. In a video available for viewing above, Prior takes the Valhalla around a race track, providing a thrilling glimpse of what it's like to drive this extraordinary machine.

With only 999 units to be produced, the Valhalla represents Aston Martin's first series-production mid-engined supercar and their first plug-in hybrid with dedicated electric-only range capability, blending Formula 1 technology with road-going design and performance. The Valhalla is priced at around £850,000, making it an exclusive and coveted addition to any car collection.

Experience the perfect blend of luxury and cutting-edge technology with the Valhalla, Aston Martin's latest hypercar. This vehicle's stated price of around £850,000 places it in an exclusive league, fit for those passionate about high-performance sports cars and premium lifestyle choices.
