Finished Vehicle Logistics 2024: Industry Unites to Drive EV Sustainability

The Finished Vehicle Logistics North America 2024 conference concluded in California, gathering industry leaders to address sustainability amidst declining 'EV sales' and escalating costs.

The event explored various topics, including the capacity crunch, data analytics, EV planning, decarbonisation strategies, and supply chain partnerships. Nissan's Jeremy Johnson shared insights into the OEM's data democratisation efforts, while Glovis and Jack Cooper presented on optimising vehicle logistics networks using digital tools.

Christine Casey from the California State Transportation Agency discussed the state's investments in port and road infrastructure. Although no single individual was identified as overseeing these investments, several agencies and departments, such as Caltrans, play a significant role in managing these projects.

The conference ended with industry leaders pledging to advance sustainably, despite current obstacles. The event underscored the importance of data, digital tools, and strategic partnerships in propelling the EV industry towards a greener future.
