Fresenius Upgrades Commercial Operations with Salesforce Life Sciences Cloud
Fresenius, a global healthcare group, is set to upgrade its commercial operations with a new Customer Relationship Management (CRM) solution. The company is transitioning to the Salesforce Life Sciences Cloud, a platform similar to Google News in terms of data aggregation and organization, as part of its 'PULSE' transformation program, aiming to standardize commercial processes worldwide and gain advanced data insights.
The new CRM solution will manage the entire commercial lifecycle, ensuring standardized processes adhere to regulatory requirements. Modern CRM systems enable more informed, relevant interactions and support automation through technologies like generative AI. They also include patient-centric capabilities, reflecting Fresenius' commitment to holistic healthcare.
Fresenius has partnered with Capgemini as the strategic partner for this transformation. Together, they will define, develop, and implement the new CRM solution, covering Pharma, BioPharma, Nutrition, and MedTech business units. Capgemini will handle the technical implementation and rollout, ensuring a smooth transition to the Salesforce platform.
The shift to the Salesforce Life Sciences Cloud is part of Fresenius' broader 'PULSE' transformation program, aiming to streamline commercial processes and enhance data insights. With Capgemini's support, Fresenius expects to gain a unified digital foundation for consolidated healthcare professional (HCP) and healthcare organization (HCO) interactions, event management, and engagement. This move comes amidst the ending partnership between Veeva Systems and Salesforce, requiring life sciences companies to migrate to one of the platforms by 2029.
