The United Football League (UFL) is set to begin its second season on March 28 at 8 p.m. (ET), and they're doing so with some exciting new tools in their arsenal. The league has partnered with Google Cloud to enhance its football analytic capabilities throughout the season.

Russ Brandon, the President and CEO of the UFL, expressed his excitement about the upcoming season. He believes that the league's use of advanced data analytics tools and AI, provided by Google Cloud, will not only elevate the fan experience but also help the UFL and its partners develop better products and services for fans.

The UFL will be leveraging Google Cloud's BigQuery, Looker, and Gemini for Google Cloud models. These tools will allow the league to collect comprehensive data from various sources, including ticket sales, sponsorship, marketing, consumer product sales, and social media assets. This data will be used for real-time data analytics to monitor game statistics and player performance, as well as to enhance fan engagement through personalized content, mobile apps, and interactive experiences.

Albert Lai, global strategic industries director for the Media and Entertainment Industry at Google Cloud, also expressed his enthusiasm about the collaboration. He believes that this partnership can have a significant impact on both the football platform and fan engagement.

The opening match of the season will be between the St. Louis Battlehawks and the Houston Roughnecks. Fans can watch the game both in-person and virtually, as it will be streamed and broadcast on Fox.
