Groundbreaking Showstopper: The Giant Mobile Display on the Global Scale

HD Ledshine, a Belgian company, has made history by unveiling the world's largest mobile screen at Prolight + Sound 2018 in Frankfurt. The screen, spanning an impressive 144 square meters, is a marvel of modern technology.

Measuring 16 meters wide and 9 meters high, the new HD Ledshine screen has set a world record, surpassing the previous largest mobile screen without losing the 16:9 configuration, which was a 100m2-trailer.

The screen's setup takes approximately one hour, and it boasts a nearly 4K resolution with 6 million 200 thousand pixels, offering stunning visuals. To eliminate irritating objects and ensure a clear view for audiences, HD Ledshine has developed a supporting column for their unique monitor.

Tony Winter, CEO of HD Ledshine, finds it inappropriate to use a large truck for the screen, preferring a more accessible setup. The screen's launch took place at Prolight + Sound in Frankfurt on April 10, 2018, and the HD Ledshine stand can be found at AG.0 A32 during the event.

HD Ledshine anticipates growing popularity of mobile screens due to their quick setup times and flexibility. The company's world record unit, the HD Ledshine screen, is designed to push boundaries in size, quality, and design.

Meanwhile, in the world of mobile devices, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 has taken the crown for the world's largest mobile screen as of 2025. With an approximate 8-inch foldable display, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 offers a unique blend of a large tablet-sized screen that folds into a pocketable smartphone.

The Galaxy Z Fold 7's specifications include a flexible OLED panel, sharp and vibrant colors, a top-tier chipset for flagship foldables, and advances in hinge technology and protective layers to reduce creasing and increase lifespan.

In comparison, the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra, a traditional slab phone, features a 6.9-inch AMOLED screen but lacks the foldable features of the Z Fold 7.

Unique features that make the largest mobile screens stand out include foldables' ability to combine portability with a tablet-sized display for enhanced productivity, gaming, and media consumption. They also offer versatile multi-window and app continuity functionality, toughened engineering to balance flexibility and sturdiness, and integration with software that dynamically adapts UI/UX to the unfolded or folded state.

Winter emphasizes the importance of visibility behind the HD Ledshine screen for viewers. Pictures of the HD Ledshine screen are available for reference. Viewers can inspect the screen and other products at HD Ledschine headquarters on April 19, 2018. The screen offers a 360-rotation, providing a wider viewing angle.

The world of screens is evolving, and HD Ledshine and Samsung are leading the charge with their innovative technologies. Whether it's a massive mobile screen or a foldable smartphone, the future of screens is looking bright.

Technology at the HD Ledshine stand during Prolight + Sound 2018 showcased the world's largest mobile screen, boasting a data-and-cloud-computing system that ensures seamless operation. Meanwhile, gadgets like the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7, slated for release in 2025, have embraced foldable technology, pushing the boundaries of event technology with their large mobile screens.
