Hamburg Kicks Off Energy-Saving Webinar Series for SMEs
Hamburg is kicking off a series of 21 webinars, 'Energy-Saving Turnaround Now!', starting January 9, 2023. Aimed at local manufacturing companies, these events aim to help small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) understand the benefits of energy-saving and boost their energy efficiency.
The campaign, 'Hamburg dreht das', launched in September 2022, encourages businesses to save energy. The goal is to reduce Hamburg's energy consumption by 15 percent citywide. The first event, 'Gewerbe-Klima vor Ort', focuses on companies in the Gewerbepark Hamburg-Nord. Around 15 companies will participate in workshops and surveys to identify energy-saving potentials.
Dr. Melanie Leonhard, Hamburg's Senator for Economics and Innovation, stresses the cost burden of unnecessary energy consumption on small business ideas. She also highlights the benefits for my business and the climate. The webinars will provide practical tips and concrete measures, such as photovoltaic systems and team motivation. Companies will also receive an overview of various consulting and funding offers in Hamburg, including programs from the Hamburg Investment and Development Bank (IFB).
The 'Energy-Saving Turnaround Now!' webinar series is part of the 'Gewerbe-Klima vor Ort' campaign, a joint initiative by the city and chambers. With the first event scheduled for January 9, 2023, Hamburg is taking a significant step towards becoming more energy-efficient.
