Honda New Zealand reveals detailed pricing and specifications for its first all-electric vehicle, the e:N1
The Japanese automobile manufacturer, Honda, has expanded its electrified vehicle portfolio with the introduction of the e:N1, a compact SUV now available in New Zealand. The e:N1, initially known as e:NY1, has been simplified in name since its international debut in 2023.
The e:N1 aligns with Honda's other electrified products, sharing a common nomenclature that denotes its electrified status. This new model is a separate entity, built on a bespoke platform, and not a variant of any existing Honda vehicle.
The e:N1 boasts a 68.8kWh battery, a 15.1-inch infotainment screen with wireless phone projection, and dual-zone air conditioning, complete with both dust and pollen filters. The vehicle is equipped with a single 150kW/310Nm motor, delivering power to the front wheels.
The e:N1 has been designed to offer a range of 500km under optimal conditions, according to Honda's advertisements. However, the official WLTP-certified range stands at 412km.
In terms of aesthetics, the e:N1 shares many body panels with the HR-V. It is priced just above the top HR-V e:HEV hybrid, coming in at $52,000. The e:N1 is available in two colours: Aqua Topaz Metallic and Platinum White Pear.
Comfort features include an 8-way power-adjustable driver's seat, ensuring a personalised driving experience. The e:N1's compact size and versatile design make it an attractive option for those seeking a practical and eco-friendly SUV.
