Hyundai Ioniq 9 Unveiled: 620km Range, 24min 80% Charge
Hyundai has unveiled the Ioniq 9, an electric vehicle (EV) boasting impressive range and charging capabilities. The Ioniq 9, with its 100 kWh net battery capacity, can travel up to 620 kilometers on a single charge, as per WLTP standards.
The Ioniq 9's standout feature is its 800-volt architecture, shared with upcoming models from Volvo, Polestar, and Mercedes-Benz. This high-voltage technology enables rapid charging: the Ioniq 9 can charge from 10 to 80 percent in just 24 minutes at suitable DC stations, with peak powers of up to 240 kW. Even at constant highway speeds of 130 km/h, the Ioniq 9 retains over 400 kilometers of range.
Despite its weight of around 2.6 tons, the Ioniq 9 delivers efficient performance with up to 326 horsepower. Hyundai ensures transparency in charging with a cockpit display showing charging curve, voltage, and current strength. A 10-minute charge can add around 500 kilometers of range, perfect for a coffee break stop.
The Hyundai Ioniq 9 sets new benchmarks in EV range and charging speed. With its 800-volt architecture, it offers unmatched convenience for long-distance travel. The Ioniq 9 is set to compete with other high-end electric vehicles, promising a seamless and efficient driving experience.
