In the bustling city of Neu-Isenburg, located near Frankfurt, there's a growing trend towards electric vehicle (EV) adoption. Vehicles can be charged sufficiently for further travel in just 20 to 30 minutes at these fast-charging stations, which are operated exclusively with certified green electricity.

The utilities in Neu-Isenburg reported a significant increase in demand for charging processes, with more than 9,500 charging processes in the first half of 2025. Normal charging columns were also noticeably used more frequently during this period.

While no specific details about the planned expansion of the charging network have been disclosed, Mr. Reineke did confirm that the city intends to continue expanding its network of charging stations in the future. Each fast-charging station has a charging capacity of up to 150 kilowatts. However, the cost, funding, capacity, or type of charging stations that will be added in the expansion remain unknown.
