Indian multinational corporation, Impex, unveils QLED TVs featuring Whale OS 10 in the Indian market, making history as the initial brand to introduce such technology in the region.
At the Gokulam Convention Centre in Kochi, Impex and Whale TV held a launch event for their groundbreaking QLED Whale TV series. Officials from both companies were in attendance, including Nuvais Chenengadan, Managing Director of Impex, and Raymond Chung, COO of Whale TV.
Chung stated that the goal of the new series is to help users find the content they love as quickly and effortlessly as possible through intuitive discovery features. He added that the combination of advanced hardware and the Whale OS 10 platform sets the Impex Whale TV range apart from other smart TVs in India.
The new Impex Whale TV series is the first in India to run Whale OS 10, an independent TV OS that enhances user experience through personalized features. The range offers advanced features like QLED picture quality, Dolby Audio, HDR10, and versatile HDMI connectivity at an affordable price.
Each household member can have a unique home screen with tailored content recommendations, improving ease of access to favourite entertainment. The integrated voice assistant, Whale AI Voice - powered by ChatGPT - enables natural, conversational interaction with the TV, facilitating content discovery and control.
Users can download a wide range of streaming apps from the Whale TV App Store, including Netflix, Prime Video, Jio Hotstar, and YouTube. The TVs provide access to thousands of hours of free content via the Free TV section and Whale TV+, giving viewers more options without additional cost.
The new series offers ultra-smooth gaming performance and fast response times. The set supports Dolby Audio and HDR10, enhancing both sound and picture performance beyond standard smart TV capabilities. Being the first QLED TV brand in India to integrate Whale OS 10, Impex aims to offer a highly localized and personalized viewing experience tailored to Indian market preferences.
Prices for the new Impex Whale TV models start at Rs. 12,990. The series is available in sizes 32'' (HD), 43'' (FHD/4K), 55'' and 65'' (4K).
