International 'OP Stream' Operation Dismantles Darknet Child Abuse Platform KidFlix

An international operation, 'OP Stream', has resulted in the dismantling of 'KidFlix', a Darknet platform dedicated to streaming and sharing child sexual abuse material. Coordinated by Europol, the operation involved 38 countries and led to the identification of 1,393 suspects worldwide.

The operation, initiated by the Center for Combating Child Pornography and Sexual Abuse in Bamberg and the Bavarian State Criminal Office, targeted the platform's operators and approximately 190,000 users. It ran from March 10 to 23, 2025, with raids conducted in Lower Saxony resulting in one arrest and the seizure of 201 exhibits.

Investigators uncovered a vast amount of disturbing content on 'KidFlix'. More than 91,000 videos, totalling 6,288 hours, were available, with around 3.5 new videos uploaded per hour. The server hosting approximately 72,000 of these videos was seized with the help of Dutch authorities. During the operation, a large number of electronic devices, including mobile phones and PCs, were also secured.

Europol played a crucial role in the operation's success. They coordinated international investigations and helped identify victims, ensuring immediate action was taken to protect children at risk. Minors were placed in care, and abused children were identified.

The successful 'OP Stream' operation has dealt a significant blow to the sexual exploitation of children online. The seizure of 'KidFlix' and the identification of 1,393 suspects worldwide demonstrate the commitment of international law enforcement agencies to combating this heinous crime. The protection of vulnerable children remains a top priority.
