Investment firm Inflection Point Ventures unveils a new $110 million fund for supporting Indian and international startups.

Inflection Point Ventures (IPV), a Gurugram-based venture capital firm, has announced the launch of a new angel fund named IPV International. The fund, registered under the GIFT City's International Financial Services Centres Authority (IFSCA) framework, aims to invest in early to pre-Series A stage startups across both Indian and global markets.

With a sector-agnostic approach, IPV International will focus on high-growth sectors, targeting investments ranging from $100,000 to $1 million per startup. This strategic move is designed to enable smoother cross-border investments, facilitating opportunities for NRIs, OCIs, foreign nationals, and Indian residents.

The fund has already made its first investment in Cellivate Technologies, a biotech startup based in Singapore. Cellivate Technologies is developing a cell-based alternative to fetal bovine serum, a widely-used substance in cell culture, which is extracted from bovine fetuses.

IPV International marked its first close in April and is expected to reach its final close in 2026. The new fund has seen strong interest from foreign investors, besides Indians and non-resident Indians (NRIs), who are eager to invest in India's startup ecosystem.

Notably, Haldiram's and Lotus Herbals family offices have invested in Physis Capital, the separate venture-capital firm from Inflection Point Ventures that has established IPV International in 2022. Physis Capital has raised Rs 200 crore for its maiden fund.

While Physis Capital did not disclose the details of its investment strategy in this announcement, it is expected to participate or lead investments in early-stage to pre-Series A rounds. The performance or investments beyond the maiden fund are not mentioned in this press release.

Inflection Point Ventures, founded by Vinay Bansal, Ankur Mittal, and Mitesh Shah, has backed over 220 startups and has exited from 50 companies to date. With the launch of IPV International, the firm continues to support the growth of innovative startups, fostering a vibrant and dynamic startup ecosystem.

  1. Following the launch of IPV International, the firm will leverage technology to facilitate cross-border investments, particularly in high-growth sectors such as finance, investing, and business, with a view to enabling fundraising opportunities for NRIs, OCIs, foreign nationals, and Indian residents.
  2. Beyond their maiden fund, Physis Capital, a venture-capital firm backed by Haldiram's and Lotus Herbals family offices, is anticipated to participate or lead investments in early-stage to pre-Series A rounds, focusing on sectors that could potentially include finance, technology, and various other industries.
