Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pack Unveils More Classic Games
Nintendo Switch Online subscribers can now delve into a trove of classic games, as the service has expanded its library to include more titles from the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) and Game Boy Advance (GBA).
With any Nintendo Switch Online membership, players gain access to a library of over 70 NES games, featuring timeless classics like Super Mario Bros, The Legend of Zelda, and a selection of Japan-exclusive titles. However, for those seeking a more diverse range of games, the Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pack offers an enticing selection.
The GBA library, accessible only with the Expansion Pack, boasts over 25 titles, including Fire Emblem, Golden Sun, Metroid Fusion, and the Mario & Luigi series. Some of the highlights from this collection are the Densetsu no Starfy series, which follows the adventures of the amphibious hero Starfy, and the Mario Kart: Super Circuit racing game.
Among the Japan-only titles available are Fire Emblem: The Binding Blade and Mother 3. The Expansion Pack also grants access to libraries from other retro systems, such as Nintendo 64 and Sega Genesis.
In the Densetsu no Starfy series, players guide Starfy on various adventures. In Densetsu no Starfy 1, Starfy sets out to return to Pufftop after being stranded by a storm. In Densetsu no Starfy 2, Starfy goes on an adventure to save his kidnapped mother. Densetsu no Starfy 3 sees Starfy's sister Starly join him on a grand adventure. Other notable additions to the NES library include Golf, The Mystery of Atlantis, and Mach Rider. The GBA library also includes COBRA TRIANGLE.
