Listen Technologies plans to introduce Auri assistive listening technology at an audiologist event
Auri Assistive Listening System to Debut at AuDacity 2025
The annual conference of the Academy of Doctors of Audiology, AuDacity 2025, is set to feature an exciting new addition - the assistant hearing system, Auri. Developed by the companies Listen Technologies and Ampetronic, under the Allvida group, Auri offers remote configuration and monitoring tools for venue managers.
AuDacity 2025 takes place in Washington, D.C. from September 25-28, and will see a limited number of Auri receivers provided for attendees without compatible hearing aids. For those with compatible devices, they will be able to stream presenter audio directly throughout the conference.
The wireless audio technology in Auri will be deployed in conference meeting spaces, and attendees can access the audio using static PIN codes displayed in each room. Auri uses Auracast, a new Bluetooth broadcast audio capability that transmits audio from one source to multiple receivers, allowing for one-to-many broadcasting. This feature supports broader accessibility in public venues.
Auri's remote configuration and monitoring tools make it easier to deploy at scale, and the system filters background noise and provides low-latency, high-quality audio to users. This method helps avoid drawing attention to those using assistive features.
Kasey Kaumans, market development manager at Listen Technologies | Ampetronic, invites feedback on Auri from audiologists, hearing care professionals, and industry leaders at the conference. Andrew Bellavia, a speaker at AuDacity 2025 and a hearing and accessibility advocate, will demonstrate the benefits of Auracast in his audible presentation.
Auri can be used for multi-channel applications such as interpretation and audio description. The assistant hearing system, a joint presentation by the Academy of Doctors of Audiology (ADA) and the AuDacity 2025 Congress, brings value to venues and end-users in various environments, as demonstrated by Andrew Bellavia in his audible presentation.
Live demonstrations and Q&A sessions will be hosted throughout AuDacity 2025, providing attendees with a chance to experience Auri first-hand and learn more about its capabilities. Don't miss out on this opportunity to witness the future of assistive listening technology!
