Logitech enlarges the RS series offerings for enthusiasts of simulation racing with the introduction of RS50, RS Pedals, and Formula Wheel.

Logitech, in collaboration with McLaren Racing, has announced a new line of products designed for sim racing enthusiasts. The RS-series, featuring the Logitech G RS50 Wheel Base, RS Formula Wheel McLaren Racing Edition, Logitech G RS Pedals, and the "Playseat Formula Instinct - Logitech G McLaren Racing Edition" cockpit, aims to bring a more authentic racing experience to gamers.

Logitech G RS50 Wheel Base

The Logitech G RS50 Wheel Base is a versatile device, supporting both PC and Sony and Microsoft consoles when combined with an Xbox Wheel Hub. It boasts a maximum torque of 8 Nm and a maximum adjustable steering angle of 2.700 degrees. The force feedback is transmitted directly to the player's hands via Logitech's proprietary True Force engine, providing a realistic and immersive racing experience. The PC version of the wheel base is priced around 300 euros, while the PlayStation version costs 400 euros.

Logitech G RS Formula Wheel McLaren Racing Edition

The Logitech G RS Formula Wheel McLaren Racing Edition is designed based on the McLaren F1 Team MCL38 steering wheel but adapted based on player feedback. It mirrors the original Formula 1 steering wheel, offering magnetic shift paddles for gear changes and an OLED display on the RS Wheel Hub for settings. The wheel measures 286 mm wide, 188 mm high, and 43 mm deep. It costs 120 euros.

Logitech G RS Pedals

The Logitech G RS Pedals complement the RS50 Wheel Base, and can be connected directly to the RS50 Wheel Base or via the Logitech G Racing Adapter to G-series steering wheels. They also can be connected via USB to the PC. The pedals feature magnetic shift paddles for gear changes.

Playseat Formula Instinct - Logitech G McLaren Racing Edition

The "Playseat Formula Instinct - Logitech G McLaren Racing Edition" offers a more reclined position, similar to that in a Formula racing car. It places the player in a typical, more reclined position and provides extra support for the shoulders and lower back. The pedal plate in the cockpit can be adjusted individually. The carbon steel and aluminum frame requires a standing area of 150 × 87 cm to set up. Logitech recommends a body height of 1.2 to 2.2 meters and a maximum body weight of 163 kg for this cockpit. It is offered for around 600 euros.

Collaboration with McLaren Racing

This partnership between Logitech and McLaren Racing includes McLaren-themed cockpits and headsets and events like the "Logitech McLaren G Challenge" esports competition. The RS50 direct drive wheel and the McLaren-themed RS Formula Wheel are key products developed in close collaboration with McLaren Racing.

The new RS-series products for sim racing enthusiasts are designed to bring a more authentic racing experience to gamers. The new Sim Rig and Headset follow the theme of the RS series, further enhancing the motorsport-inspired gaming setup.
