Logitech to Discontinue POP Button Service, Offers 15% Discount
Logitech is set to discontinue service for its Logitech POP button system on October 15, 2025. This move will render all functionality of the device obsolete. As compensation, Logitech is offering a 15% discount to affected users, valid until March 31, 2026.
Introduced in 2018, the Logitech POP button was designed as a physical alternative to smartphone apps for controlling smart home devices. It supports 14 systems, including Philips Hue and Sonos, and can be integrated with IFTTT and Apple's HomeKit.
Logitech has a history of discontinuing functions and products. In 2017, it ended support for the Harmony Link, and in 2018, it discontinued certain features from its Ultimate Ears speakers. While the discount is a gesture of goodwill, it's unclear which retail outlets in Germany will accept the discount code. Users are advised to check Logitech's official website or authorized online retailers for redemption details.
The Logitech POP button system, launched in 2018, will cease to function after October 15, 2025. Logitech is offering a 15% discount as compensation, valid until March 31, 2026. However, the availability of this discount at physical Logitech stores in Germany is uncertain.
