Lomography Unveils LomoChrome Classicolor 200 Film for Vibrant Colors
Lomography has unveiled a new film emulsion, LomoChrome Classicolor 200, celebrating color photography. This handcrafted 35mm film promises vibrant, true-to-life colors and versatile use in various lighting conditions.
The LomoChrome Classicolor 200 film is produced by the Lomographic Society using their signature color-layering process. It boasts a medium grain structure and an ISO of 100, making it suitable for a wide range of shooting scenarios. In daylight, the film captures soft, luminous colors, while shaded light brings out warm, earthy tones. Notably, it imparts a warm blush effect on skin tones, adding a touch of elegance to portraits.
The film favors energetic reds and crisp blues and greens, ensuring rich, vivid colors throughout. It can be developed using the standard C-41 process and has a DX code for automatic detection in photo labs. Initially available in 35mm format, 120 and 110 formats are planned for the future.
LomoChrome Classicolor 200 is now available for pre-order, with an estimated November shipping date. One roll retails for $11.90 / £8.90 / AU$16.90. Film enthusiasts can look forward to exploring this new emulsion's unique color palette and versatility.
