Longines Unveils Spirit Pilot & Pilot Flyback Watches Honoring Aviation Heritage
Longines introduces two new models to its Spirit collection, the Spirit Copilot and Spirit Copilot Flyback. These watches honour the brand's aviation heritage with vintage-inspired designs and robust specifications.
Both models share a 100m water resistance and a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal. The Spirit Copilot, priced at $2,700, features the in-house L888.4 automatic movement with a 72-hour power reserve and enhanced magnetic resistance. It comes with a stainless steel bracelet, brown leather strap, or a green rubber strap option, and has a cleaner dial with no date window, fitting in a 39mm case.
The Spirit Copilot Flyback, starting at $5,350, includes the flyback chronograph complication, invented by Longines in the 1930s. This model uses the hand-wound L792.4 column-wheel movement, reducing the case thickness to 13.4mm. It offers a unique touch with its flyback function, allowing the wearer to reset the chronograph hand to zero without stopping the timer.
The Spirit Copilot and Spirit Copilot Flyback expand Longines' Spirit collection with vintage styling and robust features. Both models pay tribute to the brand's aviation lineage, offering a blend of heritage and modern watchmaking.
