Mahindra is also planning to introduce an electric variant of the iconic Thar, named Thar.e, which is expected to hit markets early in 2026.
In addition to these electric models, Mahindra will also be launching facelifted versions of popular models like the Thar and XUV700. The Thar facelift is expected by December 2025, while the XUV700 facelift will launch in January 2026.
The new Bolero, a rugged SUV positioned in the Rs. 10-12 lakh price range, is set for an October 2025 launch.
On August 15, 2025 (India’s Independence Day), Mahindra plans to showcase new concept cars and a new vehicle platform, signalling significant upcoming innovations and product strategy shifts in the SUV segment.
Meanwhile, the Mahindra Vision.SXT concept, a ruggedly built SUV with muscular lines and angular features, previews a new SUV coming from the brand. Although no information about its powertrain choices has been released, it is likely to offer petrol, diesel, and electric motor options, based on the information available for the Mahindra Vision.S.
The Mahindra Vision.T concept, teased recently, shows a boxy SUV design with a muscular presence. The bonnet of the Vision.T concept has creases, unlike the flat bonnet surface of the Thar.e. The latest teaser also reveals different wheel arches and bumpers compared to the Thar.e concept.
