Mammotion's latest robotic lawn mower boasts an impressive mapping system that sets a new standard.
The Mammotion Yuka Mini Vision, a new addition to the Yuka range, is making waves in the robot lawn mower market. This innovative device boasts advanced mapping, obstacle avoidance, and edge detection capabilities, all thanks to its AI-driven vision system.
In a quick 10-minute AI auto-mapping process, the Yuka Mini Vision creates a detailed virtual map of your lawn without the need for perimeter wires or external GPS base stations. Users can adjust this map and configure up to 15 custom zones with unique schedules and mowing patterns for complex garden layouts.
The mower's precision doesn't end with mapping. Equipped with a triple-camera "UltraSense AI Vision" system, the Yuka Mini Vision can recognise objects as small as 5 x 5 cm (2 x 2 inches), ensuring effective obstacle avoidance, even in low lighting conditions. The AI-powered UltraSense system continuously senses and avoids obstacles, contributing to reliable navigation.
The Yuka Mini Vision also includes a Smart Edging feature that allows it to navigate closely along edges, resulting in clean and precise edge cutting. However, due to the blade position and device width, there remains an approximately 11 cm strip of unmown lawn along edges if there are no level transitions or a dedicated mowing edge.
Other notable features of the Yuka Mini Vision include its ability to tackle slopes up to 45-50% (about 27°), five pivoting razor blades for even cutting, a battery with automatic recharging, app and voice control integration (Alexa, Google Home), and multi-zone management through the app for customised lawn care.
The Mammotion Yuka Mini Vision is suitable for smaller gardens, operating effectively in low light conditions and navigating slopes of up to 45%. Priced at €1,199, it has been launched in the European market and offers an upgraded vision system compared to the original Yuka Mini.
The setup process for the Mammotion Yuka Mini Vision is claimed to take just one minute. The new vision system detects small objects and steers the mower around them, maintaining an 'N' shaped path for a professional lawn look. The mower automatically learns the garden for consistent cuts, and the Mammotion app allows customisation with a lawn design tool.
As the popularity of robot lawn mowers grows, the Yuka Mini Vision stands out for its wire-free AI camera navigation, quick and easy mapping, fine obstacle detection, and smart edging navigation. It delivers very capable autonomous lawn care, treating and trimming grass efficiently while the user relaxes.
The Mammotion Yuka Mini Vision, a smart-home device, offers wire-free AI camera navigation, making it one of the gadgets revolutionizing the lawn mower market. Users can control the device using voice integration with Alexa or Google Home and manage multiple zones through the app, showcasing the latest technology in lawn care.
