Microsoft & Adobe's December Security Updates: Critical Vulnerabilities Patched

Microsoft and Adobe are set to release crucial security updates this December. Microsoft will address five Remote Code Execution (RCE) vulnerabilities affecting all versions of Windows, Internet Explorer, and Microsoft 365. Meanwhile, Adobe plans to patch a critical flaw in its Reader and Acrobat software.

Microsoft's Patch Tuesday, scheduled for December, will include seven patches, seven of which target RCE vulnerabilities. Notably, Bulletin #3, rated critical, impacts Word 2007, 2010, 2013, and Word 2011 for Mac OS X. All versions of Windows, Internet Explorer, and Microsoft 365 are vulnerable to at least one of the bulletins.

Adobe, following its monthly release pattern in 2014, will issue new versions of Flash. Additionally, it will release updates for Adobe Reader and Acrobat to fix a critical vulnerability affecting versions 10 and 11 on Windows and Mac OS X.

Users are advised to install the updates as soon as they are available to protect against potential security threats. Microsoft's and Adobe's swift response to these vulnerabilities demonstrates their commitment to user safety.
